Savannah Shepherds was birthed from a love for the German Shepherd Dog and as a way for our daughter Savannah, to do what she loves to do. Savannah has a heart for raising animals from rabbits to chickens to German Shepherds.
Happy, Healthy Bloodline
We strive to raise healthy purebred German Shepherd dogs. Dams and Sires are from German working lines. We prefer the more "straight back" dogs verses the "Slant back" which are more likely to have hip issues. We feed all our adult shepherds with grain free Victor Hero Canine with glucosamine for healthy joints. We feed all our puppies with Blue Buffalo Wilderness Large Breed Puppy.
A Furever Friend
The German Shepherd Dog is a very intelligent breed coming in just below the Border Collie and the Poodle, though some may argue they are number one. German shepherds are loyal and naturally protective of their family, is it any wonder so many are used as protection and service dogs. They are fearless companions that will lay down their life for their friend!
